Au, or as it's more commonly known, gold, has become a staple in my jewellery box over the last few years. More recently, I've noticed it often popping up in the interior images I 'pin' or 'like' too. Gold can be tricky to work with - too much or not the right tone and a room becomes brash, verging on the precipice of tackiness. A touch here and there, however, can give a room a subtle lift, subconsciously sparking gold's better connotations, giving an air of opulence, luxury and comfort to the surroundings.
